Windshield Wiper Problem Tj

So today I was driving in the rain with my 2000 Tj with the windshield wipers and everything working fine but I just shut my car off to get coffee and when I came back all of a sudden my windshield wipers won’t turn on any suggestions to what might have happened?

Update: I tried starting the car with the wipers all the way on and they worked fine, but after I parked again same problem

If you wiggle the switch does it start working, or do you have to turn the Jeep off and on again to get them to work?

My first guess is a bad wiper switch.

I’m not too sure the one time I got it to work again I shut the car off with them on and when I started it they worked again

I'm with Terry. Multi function switch is going. Easy repair.
