speedometer stopped working?

My speedometer stopped working on my 94 wrangler. How do I fix it? :???:


It is a 4.o manual
35x12.5
re-geared
big axle in the back
the list goes on...

Maybe a Fuse or the speedo cable has came loose out of the transmission. Maybe even a stripped or broken speedo gear? I'm just throwin some ideas out there.

There is no speedo cable, it's electronic. Likely the VSS (speed sensor) on the transfer case output shaft. Could also be the speedo gear beneath the VSS, either gone bad or needs rotated to engage the 231 mainshaft. Could also be a bad wire to the VSS.

Get it fixed asap, the computer used the VSS input for proper engine operation.
