Start by welding the axle tubes into the diff housing so they don't spin. Place under Jeep for mock up and proper caster. Measure and mark for shock mounts and perch locations. Cutt all other traction bars from explorer off. After fab work finish with a coat if fresh paint. Then mount it and...
With 33s and a light foot off road the d35 will hold up fine. With a locker in the d35 its not if but when it will grenade on you. I run a rebuilt and extra clutch pack in,my 8.8 LSD and am very happy with the on and off road performance of it. The only catch is the clutch packs will wear out...
Welcome to the forum! Never heard of a Wrangler s model are you sure its not a sport? the leaf spring suspension in the yjs should all be the same. the yj is notorious for a bit of a rough ride. I like to close my eyes and it feels like I'm on the Indiana Jones ride. a good set of new soft...
Make sure you use the IAC housing from the 2.4l this was the only hick up I had with the swap. Very strait forward take everything of the 2.4l tb and put it on the 4.0 unhook the battery for a hour or so to reset the computer and bam your done. Let me know if you run into Any issue I also have a...
If yo don't want to swap axles stay below a 35" tire with a Dana 35 because it will grenade in the some what near future. 35+ you need to look for a bigger axle.
Research the spring over axle (SOA) before jumping into it there's alot more than you think.SOA tends to be more expensive if done right than a bolt on kit. You should.pick up a set of lift springs and maybe a small body lift. You could fit a nice set of 33 under her.
Are you talking about doing a spring over axle on the Jeep? not to chase you away because IM soa and love it. Soa done right will cost you more than a good leaf under lift kit. SOA done right ride and are stable as the Jeep before the lift. Just do your homework if this is the route you are taking.
