    The Dana 44 could be a limited slip, you wont really know till you get the cover off. If the carrier is just spider gears and a pin then its open. If it has clutches then it was a limited slip if the clutches havent been replaced since 1973 they probably need replaced. 90w gear oil, a friction...

    I was in my Jeep in the rain today and my feet and the radio got soaked. I have a 95 YJ with a hardtop and nothing that jumps out at me that would be the cause. Maybe the cowl vent is there a gasket or seal in there?:?:

    Welded spiders in Dana 30

    Im guessing the benefit of welded or spool with the vac disconnect is on the road or trail you dont have the ill effects. If youre in a tight spot on the trail, you can unlock the front end to help with the turning radius. Its alot cheaper too, Thanks BH

    Me and my wife(boss) was out yesterday in my Jeep hardtop and doors on mind you. I just had my window down she had the heat goin begging me to roll it up, and it was 70 degrees. She aint got enough blood or something.

    Ive heard some where that you can weld the spiders up in the front of a YJ with the vac. disconnect if you use a posi lock cable or an old vacuum switch from an old CJ with an auto and what ever that quad system is called, any ideas?

    I can do some tradin with a guy who has a 2001 Chevy 4wd 4.8 with a 5-speed, the Jeep gods have smiled at this guy, If it works out how would I keep the electronics happy and handle the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
