antennae help needed

I recently installed a stereo in my '81 CJ5, gives me something to listen to on my daily hour commute to and from work.

Question is, I have an old CB 6' whip antennae mounted on the rear left and it kind of looks like it was meant to be there. Is there a way to splice this in to my antennae connection on my stereo and use it as an antennae for my stereo. I do not have a CB and really have no use for one.

I appreciate any help or advice.

No, and yes. confusing huh. both antennas can do the same job but are designed to receive different frequencies, you will get your best performance out of a radio style antenna than a CD antenna. pretty simple to wire inthough, just head to radio shack and get a male antenna end and crimp it onto the cb antenna.
