i know the usuall boken u-joint replacement, but this time i snapped the shaft at the splines and i tried the magnet trick to no avail. i pulled the front diff cover only to see that i would need to pull my locker to get to the inside of the shaft splines..this is the drivers side shaft and it broke off just about 2 inches out from the splines....any tricks

i was thinking of removing the other shaft and try running a long metal dowel, but i think the "locker center pin" might prevent this...
it is the d-30 axle with tj shafts and a lockrite????

im going to try some jb weld on the end of a metal dowel and see if that will grab

Get a heavier magnet.
Remove pass. side shaft and run something long and thin past the locker centerpin, we used an antanna on the trail.
Pull the lunchbox locker centerpin to help.

So, you had a bad day!

Yep, whip antenna from the opposite side will do it most of the time.
