Gas Tank Skid Plate

I have a 97 TJ I6 4.0L Wrangler that has a really rusty gas tank skid plate. I have access to a full metal shop, including a plasma cutter, sanders, sand blaster, etc.

Does anyone have any idea what the dimensions for the GAS TANK SKID PLATE are? I would much rather make my own rather than pay $200-$400 for a new one. Thanks!

Why don't you just blast/paint the one you've got???? I think that's what I'd do........................'course, I'm about as cheap-arse as they come.

mine's so rusty it's falling apart. it has a bunch of pieces missing and a huge crack down the center.
