RE: Re: RE: you ever feel like your being followed

Hey, just checking in from the road.
We left Pagosa Springs Colorado today and I'm in New Mexico now.

Had a great time jeepin in the San Juans in rented Wranglers last week, I even made Wolf Creek pass in the Suburban just to say we did it.

We went to the towns of Silverton, Ouray, and the town of Ridgeway, where the movie True Grit was filmed.

Colorado is just breathtaking country.

The San Juans were awesome. Had a little incident that almost cost my friends life, very tense few minutes.. will fill you in after we get back.
I took lots of pics.. can't wait to share.
The Jeep trails were the highlight of the whole Colorado trip for me.

Be back in a couple of days.. max.

RE: Re: RE: Steam from front end

Looks like some unbelieveable scenery.

You have a beautiful family.

78.7 mph :?: :!:

The GPS was tracking the trip beginning from Durango that morning.
We ran highways through Silverton, Ouray, and Ridgway before going offroad and hitting the trails.
The GPS records your max speed on any trip and stores it for reference.

On some straigtways we had to get around some older fellas hauling 30 foot campers before we hit the mountains and got stuck behind them.

GREAT PICS!
Isn't Ouray just beautiful but weird? It's like a scandanavian town.

And Judge, 14,000 feet is the standard by which peaks are judged.

Things must move faster here. Seams like I hit 80 everytime I get on the highway. And thats going with the flow.

Yeah it is.. They like to refer to the town as being the "Switzerland" of America. They even include it on their Chamber of Commerce literature.

Hmmm, I didn't realize that they were that high either. Whatyaknow.

Man I'd love to see Colorado. My sister lives in Parker, maybe we should GOOA's and head out there. Renting Jeeps would be nice, but with 5 kids we'd need a Commander

Your not getting 5 kids in the Commander I looked at last week unless they are all under 50 lbs each.

That thing is cramped, esp that joke of a 3rd seat that takes up every bit of cargo room you might have otherwise had.
The rear door raises up so you can litterally have enough room to put about 4 bags of groceries back there.

TC, just pick you up a cheap FSJ and make a trail rig out of it.

RE: Re: RE: Temperature question

No no no, I wouldn't buy one. I meant for a Jeep rental. We're buying a Suburban, which has plenty o' room for the 7 of us.
