High pressure steering line

What does the high pressure switch on steering line do on the tj and can I bypass it with the yj power steering line

It changes your idle so at full pressure it maintains the set Rpms.

It may or may not throw a light on for the pressure switch. Some do. Some don't. You can try unplugging it and running it so see.

It's primary purpose is to help on powersteering demand at low idle situations when turning the steering wheel at idle. When working properly, at idle, turn the steering wheel and you will notice a slight surge on the engine rpm. This indicates that the pressure threshold on the required fluid flow is being compensated by the pump through a higher idle .
