Anyone with a hitch did you install it your self? Im looking at a class 3 and am hoping it just bolts on with no drilling and such. if any one out there has done this i would appreciate your input. They want 160 to install one with out a wirering harness or ball. I can get a hitch on line for about 110.

kraken,

Where are you located? There is a company close to me that installs hitches on most any vehicle for about $100 or $125 depending on the vehicle. In most cases you cannot buy the hitch for the same price as they will install one.

You can just bolt it in your self I did both of my jeeps and no problem at all ....:)

The install was not too bad. There are some bolts that are hard to get to, but if you use your head, you will get them in and out just fine. you will also need an extra hand.-Al

What type Jeep?

Most ClassIII hitches for the YJ and TJ require drilling through the frame forward of the rear crossmember, for arms that attach to each end of the receiver.
