jeep gas fill prob??

i've found some other jeepers that have this similar problem which is i cant throw a full or even half dose of gas from the pump in my jeep without it click'n off , you have to hold it 1/4 handle and hold your tounge right to fill it up which takes like 20 mins... now i've investigated this on my 01 TJ and cut the first leader hose and put a PVC 45 degree elbow in and clamped it which fixed the top hose "pinch" but now the bottom pinches ... does anybody have a fix for this or a part number ?? .. my local advanced auto sales fuel hose with spring in it but its like 50 bucks for so many feet the only way they sale it .... thanks a million

Can you fix the bottom with another pvc elbow?

Buddy of mine with a TJ was unable to get his filler hose to reach after disconnecting it, sounds like a similar problem of poor design in the filler hose.

Maybe get a few replacement hoses at the parts counter and compare them, and check for different years of the TJ.

well i cut out the PVC on the top and used the shortend hose for the filler neck .. which really twisted up the bottom hose ... but i released the clamp and moved around to a more comfortable position ... now i can click one notch on the fuel pump without it stopping which lets me do something else while its pumping which is an improvement ... but i really want to totally fix it LOL ... i would love to have a spring in moldable hose to bend it up and fix it legit but based on the design of this i'm really really really suprised most jeepers dont have this prob
