Liberty wheels on a TJ?

RE: Gosh It

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler X. The factory rims are 15x7. I want to put on 16" rims and bigger tires. I'd really like to keep with genuine Jeep parts. I've been shopping for Rubicon rims as they are 16x8. They're quite expensive, even used. I noticed that Jeep Liberty rims are factory 16x7 or 16x8. They're also 5 bolt with 4.5" spacing for the bolts. But, here's the real question...is the offset and backspacing the same on the Liberty rims as on the Wrangler rims? Are they close enough? Will they fit on my TJ?

I am a Murderer

I don't know what the backspacing is on the Liberty Wheels, but the stock wrangler wheels are 5.25" BS.

If you wanna get some factory 16's on there, my friends X has Rubi rims and tire on it, they fit very well, but after getting a very minimal rub under full flex, we put a 2" Terra flex lift on

The front is lifts and the rear is not

All done.

We also put the rubi flares and rocker guards on after this pic was taken (an other friend had a rubi that he removed all this stuff from for bigger and badder things)
