lifting a TJ

So I finally sold my XJ and its time to lift my TJ. I'm only thinking of about 2" and 31's. questions are...

Do I need a t-case drop? Pros/cons of removing the rear swaybar? breaklines won't need to be extended will they? aaand whats a decent 2" lift? I had skyjacker in my old TJ and hated it so lets count them out. Oh yeah, also control arms do they need to be changed? pitman arm?

I did a 4" lift on my old TJ so i'm use to all the parts I changed on it.

2" coil spacers with 31's will be no problem at all. You won't have to get new brakelines, pitman arm or do a t-case drop either. You could, but I would think it's completly unneccessary unless you're going on some very radical trails. I still have my rear sway bar connected and it's never been a problem.

What year is your TJ?

I would recommend keeping the rear swaybar, it is more beneficial in staying stable onroad and off that it is a hindrance to flex.

The only thing I've really had to address with a 2" lift is running the caster all the way out for proper caster and pinion angle. This may require purchasing adjustible cam bolts from the dealer for the lower control arms.

Then you'll need the cam bolts and washers from the stealership, only the first year or two of the TJ's came with them from the factory.

Adjustable lower control arms in the front would do the same thing, but more $$.

No, only the axle end of the front lower control arms. You'll see the fake cam bolts that are already in there.

i always thought those bolts were for the rear to adjust the driveline angle slightly. Will I need to do a transfer case drop? or can i get away without it?
