Master Cylinder Gone////?

My master cylinder has been gone since the middle of hunting season. What does it cost to fix it. Is it timely of fairly simple. 83 CJ7 4banger.

Where is that air restrictor

A master cylinder swap is fairly easy. Id say a half day job at the most. A master cylinder for ur year should run about 55-60 bucks. As long as u have somebody to help u bleed the brakes it shouldnt take long.

Thanks for the help. I had to have the brake lines redone on my Jeep earlier. Completely broke both lines. Where they had them mounted to the frame, when the jeep flexed the torsion bars kept hitting them. I have just learned to drive w/ no brakes now.

I hear ya. Same thing happened to my '79 CJ7. The brakes lines and prop. valve had definitely seen their better days. Driving w/o the brakes is ultimately an acquired skill. :shock:
