NP 207 seal

My tail shaft seal has been leaking for a while now and ive finally got a chance to replace it but i was wondering if the seal for the 231 can be used on the 207 because i havent been seein many oil seals for the 207. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

im not sure if that will fit butt...

I recently replaced my 231 seal and it still leaked...so i had a shop do it.....still leaked! They say it might be the actual shaft that has worn down from tiny bits of sand or dirt creeping in there. So all im sayin is if it still leaks afterward you may consider that. Sorry i couldnt help more, im sure someone will

I doubt anybody has had a 207 and 231 tailshaft seal side by side. I'd say compare them at the parts store, and buy the 231 seal if they don't have the 207. Return it if it doesn't look like it will fit.

Apparently they are one in the same. I got the seal at autozone and they had it listed as 231 but it fit my 207. Thanks guys.
