I recently discovered that my 87 YJ has an NP207 transfer case. Apparently 87 was the only year for this before Jeep changed over to the NP237 that is in the rest of the YJ's and TJ's. I have not read much on these and there's not alot of info that I can see about them.
I was thinking of doing a SOA and when it comes to the tailshaft conversion is this going to be a problem?
Are there different characteristics of the NP207 that will change the lift height at which a SYE will be required?
Any info/links that anybody has will be appreciated.
