overheating (again)+oil pressure

RE: Wish me Luck!

Well now my jeep only overheats at low speeds (like idling around offroad). Once I get up to about 20 mph everything cools back down. What would be the best solution to solve this? I bought a 9" auxilary fan, but am wondering if it will do more harm than good b/c of the space that the motor on it would take up. Also the oil pressure fluctuates between 20 and 60 psi, sometimes at 30 even at 1500 rpm, sometimes 60 at 2000rpm (always around 60 when it's cold).

RE: Steering Rattle

The oil pressure part is normal. When the engine's cold, the oil will be thicker causeing the pressure to be higher.

It should fluctuate with the RPM's too, once it's warmed up. The faster the engine turns, the more pressure is created and vise-versa. Your oil pressure is normal.

As far as gettin hot, where's the gauge at?? DO you know how many degrees it goes up to, and then down to??

RE: Transmission woes :(

It's the gauge below the speedometer...It isn't labled with degrees, but on the freeway the needle is barely touching the green line (I'm guessing that is around 195 F). At slow speeds the needle goes to about halfway through the green line.

RE: Credit Card Pranks?

It would help you know for sure if you could find an actual temperature gauge to try. I've had the temperature sending unit give fluctuating readings before.
