Re: RE: What President Bush

Hey. I have some kind of electrical problem but I don't know where it's coming from and it's not even causing any problems that I know of yet. When I drive on the highway and hit faster speeds or if it's windy I get an electrical popping sound from under the dash. It almost sounds like a fuse blowing a whole bunch of times really fast (only description I could think of). I've tried wiggling the wires to the headlights and all the other lights to see if I could get it to pop again but nothing. I"ve pulled apart my dash to try and find any fried wires but everything looks good. Can anyone think of any wiring areas under the hood that wire up under the dash besides the lights?

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: New wheels

hmmm, could just be 2 or more bare wires touching each other somewhere. I had the same thing happen in my truck, and it sounds just like what you described.

I just had to keep searching, and finally found them.

Sorry I can't be of much help, but it could give you something to look for.

RE: Re: RE: What President Bush

Higher speeds and windy conditions could mean turbulance inside the engine compartment making something slap against the firewall (or under the floorpan) that may make you think of an electrical problem LBR

...sometimes my trip guage gets stuck and clicks, and makes me think a relay is bugging out, not sure if i'm anywhere close but i always check for dumb stuff first.
