I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm new and haven't found any old topics on it yet. I know you can swap tubs from a TJ to a CJ and I guess vice versa but can you switch front clips? I like the CJ WAAAY more than the yj but if all I need to do is switch dash panels, back gates, and a front clip I might just convert a TJ into a CJ lookalike. So can the front clip be swapped?

no, the Tj and Cj/Yj's are different. it would require a lot of metal fab to get the two (body tub and front fender) to mate together and look some what decent. Cj's and YJ's are interchangable, take a little fabbing of fender supports and the if tubs are being swapped you need to move two body mounts, but very do-able.

I beleive the CJ grille is a little taller than the YJ's, so some work to the grille mount will need to be done. Everything else lines up.
