I recognize the yellow lab, but what type of dog is the puppy?

He's my wife's new Labradoodle pup. I told her she could have any dog that she wanted. Before we married she's always had Poodles. For 20 years since then it's been all gun dawgs. Carol also hunts and loves yellow Labs so she decided that a mix of her two favorite breeds might work well. If it didn't evolve into a duck dawg, then a "pet" would be ok too. Strangely enough, Rusty has displayed as much enthusiasm, prey drive and retrieving potential as any of the nine gun dawgs I've owned, trained and hunted with in the past 50+ years of doing it.
