Hello,
I've nearly finished a 2" BDS suspension lift on my 97 tj. This being my first lift kit ever installed, it was accompanied by alot of rusty bolts, cursing and crushed fingers. But the end is finally in sight! One frustartion that remains however is my front track bar. I have disconnected it where the ball joint meets the frame. (dont ask why I didnt just unscrew the bolt from the housing on the other end..., like i said, first lift) After re-assemply however, the threaded end comming from the ball joint refuses to fit nicely back into its hole. After repeated jackings and much malleting, however, I convinvinced it to go partially back into its rightful location; only to find that I'm unable to screw the nut back on because the threaded end turnes with the nut! The harder I try to tighen on this stubborn nut the more it just spins! Is there anyway to stop the threaded end from turning so I can fasten the bar back in place? Any help that you could give would be greatly apprecited.
Cheers,
Biermann
P.S.
(Has anybody ever dis-connected their rear track bar? (this time from the housing with the bolt where it is supposed to be unfastened) The bolt is so giant that it nearly backs out into the gas tank! I had to abandon the rachet and loosen it sidways with a pair of vice grips!!)[/i]
