Transmission conversion

I am looking at a purchasing a project YJ Jeep. This vehicle has had the drive train and wiring harness out of a jeep cherokee retrofitted.
The wiring harness is common to the drive train only, the original non drivetrain wiring that runs the lights and so on is still intact on the vehicle.

The transmission has changed from manual with the old drive train to an auto with the cherokee drivetrain. The computer that was in the cherokee is now in the yj.

The only thing left to do to the conversion is to hook wiring up under the dash. This will include the gages and cruise control.

Does anyone see any big problems with what is being done here?

I am a good mechanic and in the habit of buying broken vehicles and getting them back on the road for resale. If I buy this vehicle, am I going to be ok as long as I have the ability to do the wiring?

Thanks...gary

It's a pretty common swap, the Cherokee transmission requires using the TCU (transmission computer) from the donor vehicle with several inputs from the YJ to work properly.
