I fixen on replacing the u-joints on the rear drive shaft of my '87 w/ 207 T-case. Anybody have any recommendations on a good strong u-joint? Also, is the NP207 a slipyoke like the NP231? It sure does look like it. Thanks for any help.
The auto parts store may have two choices, get the heavy duty greasable ujoints.
Yes, the 207 uses a slipyoke rear output like the 231, so you'll lose your fluid unless you can quickly cap the output, or jack the rear of the jeep up on jackstands.
definitely dont need CTMs... but they would be nice.... and you definitely want greasable... for some reason, the non greasable joints usually have a better warranty.. but the greasable are servicable and have a longer life
