Winch plate

I'm putting a Warn M8000 winch on my 1992 Wrangler. Any difference other than price between Warn & Smittybilt winch plate?

IMO, it's just the name on the product between those two. They both had to have gone to some testing before they could market out their product. If you have access to a welder, torch and a heavy duty drill, you can build your own. I made mine out of a 1/2 inch steel plate.
