No gas on start up

I've just bought a 2002 Jeep Wrangler about two weeks ago and am having trouble with the gas system. One week old and I had the engine light come on. I had it hooked up to the computer and it needed a throttle position sensor. I had that installed and the computer reset. This fixed it for several days, but now, the first start of the day it will not start until I give it gas. The manual states to just turn the switch and it will start. Well mine won't. I am new to the jeep scene, but I'm getting really aggrivated. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ang71rub

Is it idling alright? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm not too familiar with computer controlled cars and fuel injection, but it seems to that as long as its getting fuel while its running, it should be ok. I hope somebody a little more experienced responds. Where do you live? Cold weather could be the problem?

no you shouldn't have to use the gas when starting. first step get it checked for a code again. is the ce light on?
