use flat head socket cap screws - the company i work for uses them to hold urethane lining inside spouts. these have the countersink type head and can be tightened/loosened with allen wrenches.

i have a factory ignition system, with the nutter bypass and i know i can take it to 4500 rpm. i didn't try to go any higher, but there was no problem at 4500. btw 84 cj7 w/ carter carb.
