My 91 YJ (4.0) was losing power big time and it turned out to be a plugged catylitic.I changed it and the muffler and huge difference.Hope this helps...

YJ with a 4" suspension lift and 33's look's KILLER.Especially when on a budget....

Money well spent.Made my 4.0 litre breathe way easier.

As a cheap fix replace your battery cables to get full juice from battery and good ground.my 91 yj had starting problems after replacing battery and found out later the pos cable was corroded inside the sheath and wasn't get 12 volts to everything.good luck.......

I added some Lucas oil stabilizer after doing an oil change and maybe it'll soften the valve seals up and help the rings.

Buy new if you can afford it.Rebuilt pumps are only as good as the core and the guy doing the job.With all the overseas parts around stay with the the USA...

Is it a direct swap to put a 2004 TJ 4.0 inline six to replace one in a YJ? The YJ 4.0 is tired and smoking.Wasn't sure if they were all the same.thks.

my 91 yj has 177,000 miles on it and is just starting to smoke a little blue and white.I took a compression test and 1+2 are 120 lbs,3 to 6 are at 130.could it be valve seals or hd gasket on its way out.no water in oil and no oil in rad.it seems to smoke after sitting awhile whether an hour or...
