I finally finished the 4x4 auto conversion of my '87 Comanche shortbox (aka Sarge). $3500

Originally the truck was 2wd 4.0L and BA 10/5 std trans with 3.08 gears.

Specs: 4.0L/AW4/NP242 with PS/PB (no AC but it has the compressor for onbaord air) 6" lift with 33" tires and 3.73 gears

It'll take me a few hours to remember all the little upgrades I made.

Double booster with brand new master cyl installed.
Tilt steering with column shift
Decent 33/9.50/15 tires with full size spare in stock location
Adjustable tracbar
6.5" TJ front coils (leveled to about 6" on MJ)
'90 XJ wiring harness and computer (no more C101 corrosion collector connector)
MJ aluminum canopy
Interior lights from a tank with led light bulbs and red/clear lenses. They pop off the bases and have a coiled cord

NEEDS: (more of a reminder to me to do some of these things)

CLEANING!
Seat (currently torn bench with a cover, but it comes with some old buckets)
Carpet (It has black vinyl that starting to tear)
Windshield needs re-sealed or the heater intake screen is clogged. It gets a little water on the pass floor after very heavy rain.
Tuneup (plugs are done. Needs TPS adjusted)
Exhaust re-tightened at manifold (leak is almost zero now)
Aux fan installed (didn't have the factory wiring for it since it didn't have AC)
NP242 tcase linkage hooked up
Finish installing full dash gauges (only waiting till I find the plug for the speed sensor)
Seal extra firewall holes
Bleed brakes and manually adjust the rear shoes
alignment (not done since the lift other than by eye to kill death wobble. Caused excessive wear of right front tire on previous tires. Shims fell out of driver's side lower arm)
Hook up shifter needle
tighten bolts on column
TVS cable bracket (on replacement throttlebody for automatic that I cleaned up to put on)
Install replacement NSS (so it starts in park and not all gears)
3 wheel center caps.
Ceiling panel needs replacing (PO used a flag and tons of glue)
Heater shutoff valve (it's leaking....again! I don't think they make good ones anymore)
Radio
Posilok front axle cable
RF turn signal socket replaced
Air filter box installed with KNN
Rear of cab wall panel and door sills installed (replacements waiting)
Find speed sensor connector under dash
Thermostat may need replacing (was new when parked)
Clean fuse box connections (contact cleaner makes them like new)
