benefits of installing new rockers and push rods?

Possible to put reclining seat in CJ5?

What benefits can I gain from replacing my old rockers and push rods?

None, unless they are worn. If you're rebuilding, you want to replace them. If you're rebuilding the heads, replace them. If your engine is old, replace the camshaft as they wear quite a bit. You'd be surprised what a new stock cam can do to an old engine.

Sometimes a higher ratio rocker is available for more valve lift, and even roller rockers for better performance.

What's your plans on getting inside the engine?

Has anybody here ever seen a set of roller rockers 4 the 258? I know they make them 4 the 290-401 which, in my opinion, would probably work youd just have 2 extra. I believe they were 1.6 ratio. What do you guys think?

They can use the same rocker arm. The 4.0 will require a valve cover spacer or taller aftermarket cover to clear them. Clifford Performance and Hesco make roller rocker arms for the 232,242,258 six and 2.5l 150cid Four cylinder. Mopar Performance makes a good roller rocker that they list for the 4.0/2.5 but not for the 232 or 258 for some reason. I think you need 7/16" rocker studs.
