Gas Tank Swap

I have a 95 20 gallon tank to put in my 89YJ. First question is will it fit? Second question are there any difficulties to watch out for? I'm fuel injected and will use the internal pump.

Some of my friends have yjs. To get the extra 5 gals. this is what they did, and it worked for them with no problems.

Unfortunately, that is not the tank in the 89. I have run it out of gas and was only able to squeeze in 10 gallons. The tank in place is much smaller than the 20 sitting nearby. I did check the length on the vent tube on the 20 I have sitting here and it is only 3" so it should hold 20 gallons. Thanks for the reply.

The '89 tank is metal and truely only holds 15gal, not like the plastic tank on '91+ YJ's. Use the '91+ fuel tank skid and straps and you should be fine.
