I have a 2006 Wrangler with a 2.4 liter engine and a 4 inch lift. With my 33 inch tires I sometimes have to use 4th gear in windy conditions on the highway. Will prolonged driving at 3500 RPM damage my engine?

I have a 95 ty with 138000 miles on it and it has seen 4000 rpm on many freeway ocassions and hs not sustained any damage in the 4 years of ownership.
If Jeeps were meant to be "babied"

Gas it and GO

Doesn't your 1995 have a 2.5 liter engine and not the newer 2.4? I've had 2 Wranglers with 2.5's and I would agree that they can take about anything. I'm not familiar with the 2.4 liter limitations, if any.

Thanks for your reply

You'll be fine. Do yourself a favor though and get some lower gears ;)
