Dome light and courtesy lights not coming on anymore in 95 yj

I bought some new leds for my dash and soundbar dome light and when i was putting the 578 led in the dome light it lit up for half a second and then went out completely. Before this my courtesy and dome lights were working fine now neither will come on. I checked the dome light fuse and its fine. How bad did i mess up?

Its a light switch and fuse.
Not much to mess up.


Does the old bulb no longer work either?
Check the fuse again. Maybe swap it with another like the radio.

Do you know how to use a multimeter?

The old bulb still works, i tried it as well as 2 of the new ones i bought and none worked. Checked the fuse again it looks brand new and i dont see any other 10A fuses to swap it with, the radio one isnt a blade fuse like the dome.

Neither the door switch or the multifunction turn the lights on.

I dont have a multimeter either.

I’d put a new 10 A fuss in. Cheapest approach.
Verify the ground connection.
A multimeter or test probe can help trace the voltage back to the failure point.

Ok ill get a new fuse then see if i can get my hands on a multimeter thanks for the help

Apparently there are 2 fuses for the interior lights one under the dash and one under the hood my mini 10A fuse under the hood was blown. Replaced it and everything's in working order ������
