morning. Can anyone tell me what distributor came in the 83 CJ7?

That would be the Jeep/Motorcraft S.S.I.
If your engine is still under computer control shop for the '83 CJ through the '90 Wrangler
If you have nuttered the ignition you would be miles ahead if you shopped for the pre computer version of the same which you would find in the '79-'81 Jeep/Motorcraft.
It will give you a centrifugal advance head with limiter slots of 13-18* where the before mentioned computer version is equipped with a limiter of 3-5* centrifugal advance.
The computer was able to provide that missing amount of advance.
