Hey Bounty

A buddies jeep ....Not any of mine no Sir .....his front axle of his 99 TJ...:)

just get in there... pretend you did something, then don't do anything... he'll think there is a difference, but there will be no damage

Your buddy will not be able to turn the jeep onroad in 2wd with a Lincoln Locker, the axle shafts on both sides will be permanently locked together. He will trash axle ujoints, tierod ends, and many other components by trying to drive that setup on the street.

Offroad will be different, usually enough give in the dirt to allow steering, some steering.

Bounty is right J you have to inform your friend that he will loose the U-Joints in less than a year.. if he puts any thing.. and I mean any thing larger than stock tires on he will bend tie rod ends every month!
Too sharp of a left hand turn at a nlight and he will have to get his front end aligned. EVERY TIME! S soft locker maybe...but an ARB will give him the best of both worlds. Hard locked in the front off road and open on the street. To change a TJ's front end to use a lincon you have to change the diff to allow 5 on 5.5 so you can use warn lock outs on the hubs.

Show him this string.. tell him he is a fool if he does it! We will regret ever doing it after a few months
