i found a grand wagoneer in my area for 250 bucks, does it have d44's? how can i tell? will the axles fit under my YJ with ease? anything else i may be able to use from this beast. it has been sitting for quite some time and i don't think it runs.

What year? Some had D44's front and rear. Some had offset rears. Some had beefed up Model 20 rears.

Next TN Jeepz ride.

Depends on the year and type of 4wd system.

-The Quadratrac 4wd always had an offset rear diff, won't work.
-Early SJ's had a D44 front with pass. side diff, won't work.
-Late model SJ's have a driver's side diff D44, this will work. Some came with vacuum disconnect, so you could have either.
-The rear is either the D44 or HDAMC20. The 20 diff looks like a big basketball, the 44 is more squared off.

Late '80's and early '90's are the most common for the D44's front and rear that you need.

I'm picking up an SJ D44 with vacuum disco ($50) next week, then all I need is the Scout rear D44, for my '95 YJ.
